I don’t think $$$ essentially makes a man, but I do require that my boyfriend or potential lifetime partner should have a job and career goals. I am not compatible with a complacent man because I don’t share the same views. If I were to date a garbage man, you besta believe he should have aspirations to own the darn Waste Management facility in the near future. I want a go-getter…That’s important to me.
Don’t get me wrong, a man who has CHEESE that I can spend isn’t too bad at all…but As some of you may know through experience, $$$ doesn’t always equal happiness!
I agree with Missy! As long as he is driven and motivated on focusing on a practical goal! He MUST NOT be complacent working at McDonalds or wherever! I sure do NOT want to hear " Baby, Im about to blow up! Im gonna be in dis rap game, nah mean? I just need you to help a bruh out on this demo, feel me?" Oh hell to the nah..just got flashbacks... Anywho! Just be a MAN! Period. Go after your dreams! Chase them! Take care of your responsibilities and do what real men do. Once you have those qualities I do not care more or less what your " stats" are just be successful at something you are passionate about..and it must be legal. Im not bailing your ass outta jail. I's rather be broke and happy with my man than rich and miserable with him.
I plan on being PAID so I want a man that is PAID too. Point blank period, period point blank.;-) One of the number one reasons for discord in a marriage is FINANCE. So as long as we got the LOVE money will give me and my man a leap over the statistics lol!
as long as he has a job and i don't have to support him is all that matters. its so funny how in society a man's salary is what is most important in a relationship to build a marriage...well it is! in our generation...women tend to wear the pants in the relationship in regards to salary, running a household and paying bills. a lot of the black men in our generation tend to think a woman should take care of a ma. i'm not down with that. call me old school or whatever...
Your partner should be your match on every level, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I am ambitious which means my man must also be ambitious and if he has ambition he will have a good job or he will be on the right track towards achieving a high paying job. I believe ambition in a man is a very attractive and important attribute in a man. The type of job doesn't really matter as long as he has goals and is a great person overall.
goood question cassie! i'm all about the guy having a job and STAYED with that job for some time. i can't be with someone who's all over the place because the job "is not for them". though i haven't always been looking for the doctor or the lawyer when i was dating HOWEVER i do believe that most men, at the end of the day, would eventually feel insecure if their girlfriend/wife is making more money then them...
